I love Bergen, and we have been super lucky with the weather! So far, we've been to the aquarium, Johannes showed me his school, went bowling with my one of my friends that I studied with in Denmark, and saw my first ever standup show!
Today was spent walking around the city, and we decided to go to Fløyen which is one of the mountain tops in Bergen. It was beautiful, and we could see the whole city super clearly!

Johannes left Stavanger to go back to school in Bergen a few days ago :( It was a sad day :( But it's okaaay! Vilde and I were supposed to drive up on Friday (tomorrow), because she's going to visit her brother who also lives in Bergen. But then I thought.. I'm finished at work, and I have no plans today... Why don't I go a day earlier and surprise him? So I did 😇 I messaged him and said I changed my mind about driving with Vilde, just to mess with him a little. But I'm not a complete asshole, so I sent him these pictures (above) right after and said "I'm getting on a flight that leaves in an hour instead" ♥
I'm actually at the airport now, and I'm so freaking excited! But I'll keep you posted! Byeee Yesterday was definitely one of my favourite days this summer. Johannes, some of his friends and I went to UTOPIA, a music festival in Stavanger. We got to see Stavangerkameratene, MYXE, Zara Larsson, and Unge Ferrari. It was a lot of fun and I was excited to finally meet some of his friends, but time just went by too fast! All of a sudden it was dark, and Johannes' friends had disappeared?? I mean come on, couldn't it last a few more hours? 😇
We left to get food around 22.00, because there was an insane amount of people and we were just being pushed around.. We got kebab (and it was sooo freaking good), and then we went home ♥ Good morning happy people! I just got back from both the longest and shortest cabin trip ever. It you're wondering how that's possible then let me tell you, hahah... We left after I finished work on Wednesday (17.00), drove 6-7 hours to get to the cabin, stayed all of Thursday, and then left the cabin at 7 in the morning on Friday so that I could be at work by 14.00. Both the road trip and staying at the cabin was a lot of fun, even though we didn't have much time. We stopped at McDonalds on our way there, and had a lot of fun just getting to catch up and making fun of Sarah's driving. Sarah is a very safe driver, like, ridiculously safe... But also slow. I'm serious, I wasn't sure we were ever going to get to the actual cabin, hahah! We love her though ♥ We went straight to bed when we got there on Wednesday, but Thursday was spent outside with the dogs, watching movies, making taco, and playing card games ♥
It was absolutely worth it, but I think we're gonna stay for the entire weekend next time, haha.. Hi! So, I'm not really sure how to introduce this post, but I met someone! Someone that I really like.. So I'm just going to leave it at that for now 😇 But anyway, we decided to go on a little cabin trip and, even though the weather was sucky for 94% of the time we were there, it was still a lot of fun! Also, all my winter / outdoorsy clothes are in Budapest, so I got to borrow this incredible (see below hahahha) fisherman-type raincoat and I loved it. I didn't take a lot of pictures because we were only there for one night, but we made dinner, went for a hike with Phoebe, bathed outdoors in 11°C, and watched Harry Potter in the evening. It was super relaxing and I can't wait to go back!
It's Thursday, which means I don't start work until 15.00. Normally, I would just relax, go for a walk with Phoebe, and then maybe watch a couple of episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" before work, but the weather was just too beautiful today! We got up around 7, went for a walk, and then drove to my uncle and aunt's house to borrow one of their kayaks. My aunt came with us, and I think we stayed out for about two hours. We saw people driving by in their boat, fish jumping up from the water, and it was so incredibly peaceful to just paddle around. I think it's safe to say it was a perfect morning ♥
Today, we went to the Museum of Sweets and Selfies with Celina and her boyfriend Håvard! Celina and I have been friends for a few years, but it was a total coincidence that she was in Budapest at the same time as us. We decided to meet up, and spent the day walking around Budapest, visiting the museum, and renting scooters so that we could see as much of the city as possible in the shortest time possible
Yes, you read that right... Out of all the places in the world, Helen and I are going on a girl's trip to Budapest! It's not just because we really wanted to go to Budapest though, but because Helen's helping me move into my new apartment! 🤩
Today was a beautiful day, and I'm so lucky that my friends and I from Budapest live close to each other both in Budapest and in Norway! Sarah, Fredrik and I all had the day off from work, so we decided to take the dogs to the beach. Seeing as both Phoebe and Ollie are rescues from Hungary, neither one of them had ever been to a beach before! They loved it, though, an spent maybe two hours chasing a ball and being confused when they got their paws wet ♥ When we were finished at the beach, we all went back to Fredrik's place and ate dinner before Sarah had to leave. She lives a little further away from us, but it was fun to have a little mini reunion in Norway!
Hello world! I just got back to Budapest from visiting my family in Canada and I'm already going to Norway tomorrow. I should be packing (I know...), but I didn't bring my computer to Canada, so I just wanted to pop in and give you a quick update on my life for the past two weeks ♥ While I was in Canada I spent a lot of time with my family, of course! I only see my brothers maybe once or twice a year, so but we are super close so I love hanging out with them. My grandparents were also visiting the same time I was, so it was nice to have the whole family together ♥ I also borrowed/stole my mom's friend's dog for a few days. His name is Rocky and he's a rescue from the U.S.. He was left in a backyard for two years so he's a little nervous sometimes, but he really is the sweetest dog in the world. I just fell in love with him right away! A lot of time was spent by the pool and in the jacuzzi. Like, an embarrassing amount of time... My mom, her friend Pat, and I went to the pride festival in downtown Toronto, and it was incredible! So much love, so much positive energy, lots of colour, lots of happy people, and of course we had amazing weather. Love should be celebrated every day! I also got to spend some time with my friends from high school ♥ Amanda and I went to Springridge Farm to see the goats hahahha, and we also went out for breakfast at Kora's. Kora's is a super cute breakfast/lunch place where you can get pancakes, toast, fruit, waffles and of course bacon with everything. It's delicious! I also went to the Sound of Music festival with Graeme, Justin, Anthony, and Ryan, and went to see "Secret Life of Pets 2" with Meena when I visited him in Waterloo. Finally, the day before I left, I got my hair done. And, just like last year, I went blonde! I didn't really like it last year, but my hairdresser made it a warmer blonde this time and I really love it! My hair needed a little update, and this was perfect ♥ So there you have it! I wish I could've stayed two more weeks, but now it's back to reality as I start working in four days... |
Who am I?Hi, I'm Ine! I'm 23 years old, from Norway, and I currently live in Budapest, Hungary, with my dogs, Baltus and Phoebe. I've wanted to become a veterinarian for as long as I can remember, and I'm currently studying at UNIVET. Categories
