Oh how i love love love days like today! ♥ Anne starts school tomorrow, and I move on Friday, so we decided to have a pancake breakfast with strawberries, cream, raspberries and bacon... So freaking good! We went down to the basement, after breakfast, and watched one of our favourite childhood movies "Zathura" and just relaxed.
It was so nice to have a fun and calm morning before I move. Now, it's time to go home and finish packing... Only 3 more days until Baltus and I go to Budapest!

Aaah, it is so nice to have Jane back in Stavanger. I don't see her a lot because she's been at school in Denmark, so this was a much needed lunch date! It's so nice to just have some girl time and catch up. And, what better way to catch up than to go out for sushi? ♥
Now, I only have one more day left at the clinic, before I have to move out of the apartment, finish packing and throwing stuff away, finish crate training Baltus, and move to Budapest. Can you believe I'm moving in 15 days??? Happy Thursday! ♥ Today was both fun and sad... but mostly fun! I finished work around 14, went home to walk the dogs, and then got ready for the farewell party my boss was hosting for Kristine. Kristine is a veterinarian and she has been with us for 1.5 years, but she and her boyfriend are moving to England in two weeks. :( We ate dinner, cake, candy and cupcakes, went for a walk and shared stories and just enjoyed the evening together. It was a lot of fun, and we're all going to miss Kristine!
It's Sunday, and that means it's my last (whole) day in Canada... It has been a short trip, but I got to spend time with my family, see the new house, go swimming, go shopping, and today I also got to see Meena in Kitchener! Meena is my best friend from High School, and I've known him for 6 years. We went out for sushi to catch up and relax, but also because we both refused to be outside in the INSANE summer weather. It was 32C outside today, but it was so humid it felt more like 40C... The sushi was great, though, and it was really nice to be able to sit down and catch up! We decided to go to the Butterfly Conservatory in Campbell, once we had finished eating. I saw a butterfly sign on my way to Kitchener and decided we had to go! The butterflies were beautiful! The conservatory little birds, many different butterflies, a hatching (is it called hatching?) area for butterflies, lots of flowers, and it also had a museum of different bugs and information about them!
I'm back home with my family now, and we're going to have our last family dinner before I go back to Norway tomorrow. Ine ♡ Happy Canada Day... sort of! July 1st is Canada Day, but my parents decided to celebrate a day early. So we made it into a Canada Day / summer / moving in party, because it's the first party they've had since they moved into the new house. We had burgers, hot dogs and snacks, listened to music and went swimming. All in all, it was a super evening with lots of fun. Plus, it was nice to see my parents' friends again! ♥️
The weather in Canada is absolutely gorgeous! I started the day off by going to the hairdresser... I really needed a change, and I'm super happy about the result! When I was finished, my mom picked me up and we went out for lunch. I had pizza and she had cauliflower soup. We also shared the most delicious spinach dip I have ever had, and drank pink frozen lemonades. Vacation mode: on! When we had finished eating, we went shopping for summer clothes, and then we went home to relax by the pool. It is so good to be back in Canada with my family! ♥️We're having a summer party tomorrow, but today is all about relaxing. My dad made pineapple smoothies (which the dog also loved), and we're having the first family dinner in 11 months tonight. It was nice to have a relaxing day, and I feel like I've already adjusted to the time change! Now, my brother, Fabian, and I are going to BestBuy. I forgot that they use different outlets for chargers and such in Canada, so I have to get a converter for my computer charger...
Hope you've all had a nice day, Ine ♡ Want to eat some incredible food in Budapest? Of course you do! Then you should absolutely, 100% visit Pata Negra Pest. The food was unreal! + it is also very affordable. I went to visit Renate and Amalie on Wednesday, and it turned out Jenny (one of my childhood friends) was coming to visit them on Friday! So we decided we would all go out and eat dinner! ♥️ We ordered so much food, and I don't even know what all of it was.. but it was great! We had meatballs, spinach in sause(?), cheese plate, potatoes with dressing, garlic shrimp, duck breast, goat cheese and so many other things. ...only 5 or 6 more weeks until I officially move to Budapest! I'll probably just end up living in the restaurant, haha!
