Hello world! I just got back to Budapest from visiting my family in Canada and I'm already going to Norway tomorrow. I should be packing (I know...), but I didn't bring my computer to Canada, so I just wanted to pop in and give you a quick update on my life for the past two weeks ♥ While I was in Canada I spent a lot of time with my family, of course! I only see my brothers maybe once or twice a year, so but we are super close so I love hanging out with them. My grandparents were also visiting the same time I was, so it was nice to have the whole family together ♥ I also borrowed/stole my mom's friend's dog for a few days. His name is Rocky and he's a rescue from the U.S.. He was left in a backyard for two years so he's a little nervous sometimes, but he really is the sweetest dog in the world. I just fell in love with him right away! A lot of time was spent by the pool and in the jacuzzi. Like, an embarrassing amount of time... My mom, her friend Pat, and I went to the pride festival in downtown Toronto, and it was incredible! So much love, so much positive energy, lots of colour, lots of happy people, and of course we had amazing weather. Love should be celebrated every day! I also got to spend some time with my friends from high school ♥ Amanda and I went to Springridge Farm to see the goats hahahha, and we also went out for breakfast at Kora's. Kora's is a super cute breakfast/lunch place where you can get pancakes, toast, fruit, waffles and of course bacon with everything. It's delicious! I also went to the Sound of Music festival with Graeme, Justin, Anthony, and Ryan, and went to see "Secret Life of Pets 2" with Meena when I visited him in Waterloo. Finally, the day before I left, I got my hair done. And, just like last year, I went blonde! I didn't really like it last year, but my hairdresser made it a warmer blonde this time and I really love it! My hair needed a little update, and this was perfect ♥ So there you have it! I wish I could've stayed two more weeks, but now it's back to reality as I start working in four days...

Last week, my dad, my brothers and I went to the famous Széchenyi thermal baths, and HOW freaking gorgeous it this place? The Széchenyi Medicinal Bath in Budapest is the largest medicinal bath in all of Europe, and its water is supplied by two thermal springs. There are a total of 21 one baths, several saunas, spas, a bar, and more! The pictures say it all. The weather was perfect, the baths were beautiful, and we had a great time!
I'm definitely going back, and I can't wait to try it again in the winter time! Have you ever been to an ice bar? No? Neither had I, until today... and it was so refreshing! Everything was made of ice. The walls, the "chairs" and "couches", the bar, and even the shot glasses were made of ice! There were also little statutes of a seahorse, a lion, an astronaut, and so on, which was really cool. The weather in Budapest is beautiful, but it has not been colder than 28C since we arrived yesterday so it was nice to be in a cold room for a while, haha! If you're ever in Budapest, you should definitely check this place out.
YOU GUYS... I'M IN BUDAPEST! I didn't taks a whole lot of pictures today, because my dad and I travelled with three (!!) suitcases, three hand luggage bags, one golfbag, and Baltus + his travel crate. Getting from the hotel to the airport was a circus, but we made it just in time... Getting from the airport in Budapest to my apartment was even worse, but hey, we're FINALLY here!! The weather is beautiful, I'm super happy with the apartment, everyone wants to pet Baltus, and Baltus loves the attention. So far so good! Unfortunately, that's all I have for today. We're going out to eat now, and then I have to unpack everything. I'll be back at the end of the week, though! In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions or suggestions in the comments section! ♥
Happy Canada Day... sort of! July 1st is Canada Day, but my parents decided to celebrate a day early. So we made it into a Canada Day / summer / moving in party, because it's the first party they've had since they moved into the new house. We had burgers, hot dogs and snacks, listened to music and went swimming. All in all, it was a super evening with lots of fun. Plus, it was nice to see my parents' friends again! ♥️
The weather in Canada is absolutely gorgeous! I started the day off by going to the hairdresser... I really needed a change, and I'm super happy about the result! When I was finished, my mom picked me up and we went out for lunch. I had pizza and she had cauliflower soup. We also shared the most delicious spinach dip I have ever had, and drank pink frozen lemonades. Vacation mode: on! When we had finished eating, we went shopping for summer clothes, and then we went home to relax by the pool. It is so good to be back in Canada with my family! ♥️We're having a summer party tomorrow, but today is all about relaxing. My dad made pineapple smoothies (which the dog also loved), and we're having the first family dinner in 11 months tonight. It was nice to have a relaxing day, and I feel like I've already adjusted to the time change! Now, my brother, Fabian, and I are going to BestBuy. I forgot that they use different outlets for chargers and such in Canada, so I have to get a converter for my computer charger...
Hope you've all had a nice day, Ine ♡ I can't believe my dad and I actually pulled it off and managed to surprise my mom and brothers in Canada! We've been planning it for three months. It took 18 hours to get there because of delays and late passengers on all the flights (Stavanger -> Oslo -> Paris -> Toronto), but my dad picked me up and we managed to surprise my mom just in time for my brothers' graduation. Dress: sold out, similar HERE It was really nice to be able to go to the graduation with my family! I didn't manage to get any pictures though, as we were sitting very far away from the stage.. After graduation, we went straight to McDonald's, haha! I hadn't eaten anything in over 24 hours because I slept like a freaking baby on all the flights, and my mom was craving fries. I also got to see the new house, which is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen and living room are my favourite rooms, + there are so many cool paintings throughout the house. I love it! I'm going back to Norway Monday evening, so it's not a super long trip, but I have a lot that I want to get done while I'm here. I mostly want to spend time with my brothers and parents, of course, but I'm also going to see my best friend from high school that I haven't seen in THREE years!
