Hello all my lovely readers! We are now on day 5 (Saturday) of our trip, and it has been incredible! Wednesday: We started the day by going on a 3 hour long segway tour. We got to see the Buda Castle, the Basilica, the Parliament, the Danube river memorial, the Fisherman's Bastion, downtown on the Pest side, the Jewish Quarter (which has 800 bars btw), one of the outdoor baths, and so much more! Our guide was super nice, and we could not have been more lucky with the weather. It was also very hot (32C) during out tour so it was nice to get the little breeze that you get while on the segway. After the tour, we relaxed by the Hard Rock Cafe, did some shopping, and went to the street food Karavan to get some dinner. I had the spaghetti carbonara and my dad had mini hot dogs. It was very good and there was so much food! After dinner, my dad went to watch soccer on the big screen in one of the bars, and I went to hang out with a couple of my friends, Renate and Amalie. Renate is a 5th year vet student at UVMB, and Amalie is a second year psychology student. Renate came to work at the same clinic where I work for a couple of weeks last year, so it was really nice to see her again. We watched a movie, talked about school and just relaxed. Thursday: Thursday was also great, but I barely touched my camera. I only have two pictures from Thursday.. We started the day by relaxing and not doing anything. We walked around downtown, checked out some stores, and then we went to a sky bar. Unfortunately I have no idea which one, because when I googled it I found out that there are quite a few of them! In the evening, we went to a cute Hungarian / Italian place to get a couple of drinks and watch soccer before dinner. We had dinner at the Costes Downtown, which is the first Michelin starred restaurant I have ever been to. The food was very good! I will probably be posting about Friday tonight or tomorrow, and then about the rest of my trip when I get back to Norway. It has been an awesome trip so far, and I'm already super excited to move here! Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or recommendations of what to do in Budapest!
