Last week, my dad, my brothers and I went to the famous Széchenyi thermal baths, and HOW freaking gorgeous it this place? The Széchenyi Medicinal Bath in Budapest is the largest medicinal bath in all of Europe, and its water is supplied by two thermal springs. There are a total of 21 one baths, several saunas, spas, a bar, and more! The pictures say it all. The weather was perfect, the baths were beautiful, and we had a great time!
I'm definitely going back, and I can't wait to try it again in the winter time! Happy Thursday everyone!
I know I've been a little absent lately, but I've just been so busy exploring Budapest, making new friends, relaxing, finishing everything in my apartment, and finding a groomer for Baltus. But I'm back now! ++ I have LOST the charger for my camera!! I can't find it anywhere, so I have to find out where I can get a new one. In the mean time, you're all gonna have to accept iPhone quality pictures... Anyway, I'll be posting about the Széchenyi thermal baths tomorrow, so don't forget to check back in! And, on a totally unrelated note, here's a picture of last night's sunset. Budapest is absolutely gorgeous! Ine ♡ HIGHLIGHT Definitely the Széchenyi thermal baths! It was unlike anything I've ever seen. Calm, relaxing, warm, beautiful... I'm definitely going back soon! DOWNSIDE My dad and brothers went back to Canada :( THOUGHT Mixed feelings this week... I wish I moved to Budapest earlier so that I'd have more time to explore, but at the same time I don't know why I moved a whole MONTH before school starts.. Also, I start school in only 3 weeks, which is crazy to think about! CRAVING Tacoooooo! My dad and I found this awesome taco place a few minutes from my apartment, and we went there for lunch twice in one week, haha! I don't remember what it's called or where it was, because my sense of direction is non-existent, but one day I will find it again. + I will tell you the name when I find it, because the food was soooo good! PICTURE Hahah, HOW cute is he? Baltus and I have had so much fun exploring Budapest. We went to the City Park, found a few pet stores, we've been to several cute cafes for lunch, and we've been to the university. He is definitely loving Budapest! Everyone wants to pet him, and he loves the attention!
Have you ever been to an ice bar? No? Neither had I, until today... and it was so refreshing! Everything was made of ice. The walls, the "chairs" and "couches", the bar, and even the shot glasses were made of ice! There were also little statutes of a seahorse, a lion, an astronaut, and so on, which was really cool. The weather in Budapest is beautiful, but it has not been colder than 28C since we arrived yesterday so it was nice to be in a cold room for a while, haha! If you're ever in Budapest, you should definitely check this place out.
YOU GUYS... I'M IN BUDAPEST! I didn't taks a whole lot of pictures today, because my dad and I travelled with three (!!) suitcases, three hand luggage bags, one golfbag, and Baltus + his travel crate. Getting from the hotel to the airport was a circus, but we made it just in time... Getting from the airport in Budapest to my apartment was even worse, but hey, we're FINALLY here!! The weather is beautiful, I'm super happy with the apartment, everyone wants to pet Baltus, and Baltus loves the attention. So far so good! Unfortunately, that's all I have for today. We're going out to eat now, and then I have to unpack everything. I'll be back at the end of the week, though! In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions or suggestions in the comments section! ♥
Oh how i love love love days like today! ♥ Anne starts school tomorrow, and I move on Friday, so we decided to have a pancake breakfast with strawberries, cream, raspberries and bacon... So freaking good! We went down to the basement, after breakfast, and watched one of our favourite childhood movies "Zathura" and just relaxed.
It was so nice to have a fun and calm morning before I move. Now, it's time to go home and finish packing... Only 3 more days until Baltus and I go to Budapest! Today, we did an experiment... Serine has had highlights in her hair, and she has also coloured it. This time, instead of putting colour in her hair or bleaching it, we tried a colour removing formula! And, I must say, the result was very good. ...we also cut her hair! About 3-4 cm i think?
Anyway, it ended up looking really nice! It's still lighter than her natural hair colour, but the colour remover gave her a colder and more natural look! HIGHLIGHT Finally moving out of my apartment! + my dad came to Norway! DOWNSIDE It took forever to move out of the apartment.. The last few days were kind of hectic and annoying, because I just didn't know what to pack... This isn't a vacation, and I'm not just moving down the street either, so I had to be very selective when choosing what to keep and what to throw out. THOUGHT That I'll be in Budapest in less than a week! CRAVING Donuts PICTURE Didn't take a whole lot of pictures this week because of moving stress and all the things I've had to do.. But this picture is from today and it makes me laugh.. Check out the next post to see why!
How many dogs do you want / plan on having?
Hahahah, 17! ...just kidding... I actually want 2.. maybe. I have Baltus and he's enough for me, but I want him to have a little brother or sister at some point! Why did you choose the University in Budapest? I chose it for a lot of reasons, actually! Two of the veterinarians I worked with went to that school and they both said it was great. I also wanted to go there because you get authorisation in all EU countries, and it also won't be a problem for me to get authorised in Norway. In addition to that, I've heard great things about the school, the school in itself is beautiful, the school is located in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and What camera do you use? I use the Canon G7X! Why are you moving so early when you don't start school until September? To make it easier for my dog and also to have some "me time". Since we'll be in a new apartment, I'll need to practice home alone time with my dog, and make him understand that we're not just visiting and that I'm always going to come back to the apartment. Budapest is also a wonderful city and I want to get into my new routines, get to know the city, maybe learn some Hungarian, and take some time to relax, read and prepare for school. |
Who am I?Hi, I'm Ine! I'm 23 years old, from Norway, and I currently live in Budapest, Hungary, with my dogs, Baltus and Phoebe. I've wanted to become a veterinarian for as long as I can remember, and I'm currently studying at UNIVET. Categories
