This Saturday was spent doing nothing but relax, at the beautiful Margit Island... and it was amazing. We got a group of people together, brought blankets, snacks, speakers, drinks, and dogs, and just hung out all day. I haven't been this relaxed for several weeks, so it was really nice to just hang out and talk all day.
I'm still in relax mode, and I plan on doing absolutely nothing for the rest of the weekend, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. ;)
Today was a good day. Today was a really good day!
Fredrik, Sarah and I started the day with waffles, prosecco and some studying. Amazing combination, if you ask me! We have a botany midterm in a few days, where we have to learn the latin name, english name, latin family name, habitat, type of poison, the actual poisonous compound(s), and the specific symptoms for 38 plants. Yes, 38... It's not THAT much, but we just have so many other school related things that need to be done, so for me it's 38 too many. 😝
After studying for a bit, we decided to take the dogs to City Park. The weather has been super warm the past few days, so it was really nice to take a break and enjoy the sun! We were also watching Tarzan (my friend's dog) for the day, and he loved hanging out with Baltus and Phoebe.
Look at his face! How freaking cute is he?!?!
Fredrik wanted to have an early night, so Sarah and I went back to my apartment. We were supposed to study, but I think we were both exhausted form all the latin so instead we made cookies, crashed on the couch and watched Grey's Anatomy. ♥️
Happy Thursday everyone!
Last night, Sarah, Victoria, Hege, Maria, Fredrik, and Eline went out for a much needed burger dinner at Fat Mama's! All the Irish students we’re at a party specifically for Irish students in Budapest, so we decided to have a “Norwegian evening”. ♥️ We all have very different schedules (except Sarah and I cause we’re in the same group) so it was really nice to just hang out and get to know each other more!

Richmond & Finch is a global premium lifestyle brand from Sweden that designs and produces contemporary mobile phone- and travel accessories. The unisex lifestyle brand creates unique designs which reflect current fashion trends. These cases have 360° drop protection to guard your phone against accidents. It's the perfect combination; fashionable and functional!
I recently discovered Richmond & Finch through my collab. team, and I absolutely love the brand. It's cute, trendy, creative, not too expensive, and there's a ton of different designs to choose from! I just had to try out some of their things...
Pink iPhone case HERE
Black Cable Winder HERE
Pink Power Bank HERE
I got the pink phone case, the black cable winder, and the marble power bank. I like to keep things simple, and thought the case was super cute!! The cable winder is also perfect and easy to take anywhere because it keeps your cable untangled, and takes up almost no space. Aaaaand, I have a power bank... But the one I have now is so heavy that I only take it with me if I'm bringing a larger purse or a backpack, because it's so annoying to carry it around. The one from Richmond & Finch is a lot smaller (+ a lot cuter), so it'll be easier to charge my phone on the go! ♥
They also have these three cases, which I thought were super cool, and lots more! ... maybe I'll get one of these next time?
This week's highlight has been the week in its entirety. It was a hectic week, and my weeks aren't usually that hectic, haha. I have lots of classes throughout the week and usually don't do much on the weekends. I usually hang out with my friends and watch a movie or study which (don't get me wrong) I really enjoy, but it was also really nice to break away from my routine this week! Went out for dinner with Soph and Victoria on Friday, spent 5 hours at an anatomy seminar before going for sushi with Sarah and Andreas on Saturday, and then I cleaned the whole apartment on Sunday. + I even went to the gym with Sophie, washed all my clothes, went to the dry-cleaner with my summer duvet and started my essay that's not due for another 3 or 4 weeks! ++ I'm becoming more active on my blog again, so I think it's fair to say it was a good week! ♥
As you can see, all my hectic-ness happened during the weekend. That's because, for some reason, I just had no motivation to do any school work until Friday.. I went to most classes, took notes, and reviewed them at home. However, I couldn't find any motivation to do anything beyond that. All I wanted was to watch netflix, go out with my dogs and, well, procrastinate... But it's okay to do that sometimes, right? It's okay to relax and do nothing, because vet school is hard. And not just kind of hard, it's really hard. We're always learning new things in 7 different subjects, and I think I just get too eager and want to learn everything at once and then my brain just short-circuits. You know what I mean? It bothered me last semester, and it's bothering me again now, but I've accepted that this happens and that it's okay. Nothing more I can do about it than to just do something that's absolutely unrelated to school for a couple of days and then I'll be back on track!
What to do with my hair? I want to change it, I just don't know how I want to change it. Suggestions?
Definitely frozen strawberries! I've had frozen strawberries three times this week haha...
Do you ever get in this mood, where you know you have things that need to be done, but you'd rather do ANYTHING else? Well that's how I feel right now.. or.. this week. Any tips on how to make this feeling go away? Because I really don't have time for it.
Exam season is approaching waaaaay too fast, and I'm still not done with all of my exam prep. documents. +++ I have an essay due this month on extreme dog breeding and its effects on animal welfare, I have a biomath test and anatomy midterm on Wednesday, and a chemistry midterm in less that two weeks. Yay!
It's okay, though, because it will pass, eventually. I just need to relax, stop complaining about everything and just get things done! Also I would really appreciate any tips on how to study for exams. What I'm doing right now is working, but I'm always open to see if I can improve or do something better!
Thanks in advance! ♥
Who am I?
Hi, I'm Ine! I'm 22 years old, from Norway, and I currently live in Budapest, Hungary, with my dogs, Baltus and Phoebe. I've wanted to become a veterinarian for as long as I can remember, and I'm currently a 1st year vet student at UNIVET. I'll mainly be writing about my experience as a veterinary student in Budapest, but also about my day to day life and my experience of life in Budapest.
